Happy Birthday

so today is Richard's birthday. We are so tight on our money right now that we couldn't go out to eat. So I made dinner for us and the kids went to gma's and their friends. Later we had cake and ice cream. Hope to have many more wonderful years together.

Baptisim

So my little Ellie turned 8 on September 10th and she got baptized this weekend. We had all the family over for dinner after and the kids had tons of fun playing with there cousins. We gave Ell's a set of scriptures and a caring case. It was so awesome to Richard able to do these wonderful things for our kids again.

Happy Haunting.

We went to Lagoon Fright mares this weekend. It was so much fun. We got to be as a family, and go through the haunted houses, and it didn't cost a dime. This was a good investment, season passes. The kids had so much fun.

This weekend.

Had a good weekend. On Friday we went to the Halloween store, and spent to much $$$, but hey I LOVE this holiday. On Saturday I went to super Saturday w/my mom. Made these cute tiles. Love them. That night about 6:00 Reese,Courtney and Delshaun wanted to go rafting down the river in Roy. Dropped them off about 6:30 and Reese said that she would call when they were done. I went home, and it started to get dark, and still hadn't heard from them, started to get a little worried so I drove down to the river. Kobe came with me you know for protection =O). Shortly after I got there my phone rang and the police had called Richard and they were with the kids. He didn't go into much detail, so I didn't know what to expect. By this time it was dark, so Kobe and I kept walking and saw the bright lights on the path. I called out for Sherise, so that the cop wouldn't like shoot me or anything,lol and someone was sitting on the ground. It was Courtney. At first glance, I thought she was in hand cuffs, I am left thinking, what the heck. Well long story short, Courtney had hit her head on a rock and had passed out. The cop was just driving through the park to make sure everyone was out by dark. He was worried about Cout, so he called the Ambulance. The thing is though her mother had gone to Idaho, un-be nonce to me. Well we ended up in the Emergency room until 10:00. Her dad showed up then, and he took her to her moms. On Sunday we had a lesson about Celestial families, which I really needed to hear. And little miss Ellie gave a talk in primary. On a side note, she did very well. Some of the things that were going on in my life fit right in with what they were saying in my relief society lesson. We also talked on keeping a journal. Even though we may think that our lives are trivial and un interesting. This may be all that my kids have to know who I really am, so here I am. Good weekend, but way way to short.

Halloween

I love this holiday. Went last night to get costumes for the kids. Only got Sherise and Ellie's, but I found one for Ells for only $5. GREAT deal. Future posts on Halloween.

Close Call

So my little man Kobe who is now 6 was ridding bikes with his dad and big sister Ellie yesterday. They had gone to the local store to get a treat. On the way home there is a very big hill that you can ride home on or take the long way without the hill. Well they chose to ride down the big hill....thought it would be great fun. Kobe starts down the hill and Ellie notices that he is going very fast. She tells him to slow down, and he answers "what?" Ellie starts to tell him to slow.... and he crashes. Sherise calls me about 3:00 and tells me to meet them @ Mckay Dee Hospital, that Kobe has been hurt. Long story short I get the the Hospital and the Dr. said that we should just watch him for a concussion and that he looks ok. He has to get stitches in his forehead, and we are waiting for the medicine to numb it, and he starts to throw up. Well at that point the Dr. and us start to worry. He is complaining that his tummy hurts and the Dr. asks how fast they were going, maybe some internal injury. Well they stitch up his forehead and he takes 2 internal stitches and 5 external stitches. They schedule a CT scan to make sure nothing is wrong internally. We wait for that and he is very tired. The Dr. say to let him sleep, it will be easier to do the CT on his head. He wakes up right before the CT and is a little scared until he sees me and then he is ok. They take the scan of him head and also his tummy. Everything comes back ok. We get to go home, and our little Kobe only had 7 stitches and some bumps a scrapes. The Dr. even tells him that he is the best patient he has had all day. The Dr. is very impressed at how gooe he is and Kobe even gets to see the needle that the Dr. is using to stitch him up. Needless to say Richard learned his lesson about helmet and will be more careful. You are such a brave little boy and what an traumatic experience to go through.

Funniest thing!

So today on the spur of the moment we decided that our dog would go and have her hair cut. Well I am walking in to the shop and asking if we can have her clipped today and I look down and see that she had lost something. I was letting them know and apologizing for the little problem, and the groomer said that she knew who I was and that they would work her in. Well she came to pick her up and she did it again. I felt so bad, but I couldn't resist thinking " Wow I have never scared the crap literally out of any one or any thing." Well we did today. She looks so cute when she gets her hair cut though. It makes me kind of sad that she gets so scared.

Family Reunion.

This weekend my dad had his annual Hadley Family Reunion. Sherise just got her phone turned back on so she was picture happy. We got these and I think they were really funny. I can not believe how fast the kids grow. You know that song " Don't blink...." It is a country song, and it is so true. Before you know it they are all grown up and doing there own thing.

One Day @ a Time.

Sometimes life is hard, but I have found that we are learnign every day. Something that seems do unbelievabely hard, turns out to be a blessing just waiting for the right moment to be found. That has happend to me a few times latley. I have also found that when you think that you are just movin along in life thinking you really aren't doing a whole heck of a lot someone or more that one come along and tell you how much you have done for them, and I am just left thinking...." I am just doing what I do." I am so greatful for the blessings that come into my life, even though they seem to manifest themselves is stang ways, they are truly life changing. Thank you to all that make that possible. I am so greatful for the chance to be a mom and wife, even though I think sometimes I fall short, my lil family make it truley clear to me that I am most certianly not. Love you all!!!!

Twix

Ellie and Kobe had soccer games this last fall. Twix loved to go to these games, She is still trying to fit in, but she gets her hair done about every 2 mnths. She looks so cute with it all cut.

Summer Fun

The last few day Sherise;Ellie; & Kobe have been playing a lot outside, thanks to the nice weather, finally! They were all playing outside and Sahtara got some cute pics of all of them. They love summer so much, and I am glad that Richard has the drive and the energy to put up the pool every year. I is nice cheep fun for the kids.

Marriage

On June 20th my Grandma got married. I know not that awesome, people get married every day, but my Grandma is 90. She is such a goer. She wanted to have an all out wedding, because she never has before. Her other 3, yes 3 weddings have just been basic, no fancy dress, no rig bares, no reception, nothing. So my mom took her and they picked out a very pretty dress and she planned the wedding, w/grandchildren singing and Kobe and one other great grandson being the ring bares. Her husband (Jene) even sent out some invitations. It was so cute to see the two get married. I hope that when I am that old if I am by myself, I have the drive, ambition, and most of all someone who would want to marry me. Lots of love Grandma.

I hav arrived

On Thursday I think it was. Richard and I had told Sherise that she was spending to much time with friends. She had a friend over that day, that Rich and I didn't really approve of . Well she wanted to hang out with this friend on Friday and we told her no. She was so mad at us. She posted a mood on myspace and it read as follows: " I hate my parents! I wanted to hang with my hommies and they wont let me, I wish I had different parents!" I had to laugh, I have heard so many stories about this. "When your kids hate you, you know that you are doing a good job." I said something to Richard about it, well I get a call from Sherise about how come you told dad that I hated you guys? I told her that is what she said and she said that she didn't and I told her that everyone else saw the same thing. I told her to log on to her myspace and read to me what it said. She read the whole thing and said " that is not what I meant." She immediately went and changed it to read "I love my mom and dad so much, they do so much for me." LOL it just made me laugh. Got to love her.

Tryin to be a parent

So on Saturday, we went to the Anniversary Inn for our wedding anniversary. We got home on Sunday afternoon. Well of course our home was a mess, and we were trying to clean up. Richard was talking to Ellie and asking her if she had made a mess, she started to back talk to Rich, and he said "are you back talking to me?".....Ellie, "Yah." Richard just kind of stood there not knowing what to say and then he said,"well at least your honest." The conversation ended right there. Ellie is so funny. As I have said before, she just tells you like it is. Another perfect example of this is that she got kissed the last week of school. She told me that the lil guy that she likes kissed her on the cheek, and then her face got all hot. He left and the kids who saw this were all "ohhh Ellie got kissed." She continues with her story and tell me that well the rumors started and she was so up set so she found out who it was and walked up to them and said " you need to just stay out of my business." lol she doesn't let ppl say things about her without telling them how it is. Way to funny.

Easter

I never posted anything about Easter. We did the usual Easter egg hunt, Basket hunt and Church. I just had to post the pics we took. We even got a picture of "Twix" in her dress. To funny

Sunday we were watching a game show and the lady on the show was up to $50,000.00. She took the money and I told Kobe that was alot of money, and he said "yah!!! I could buy 2 Nintendo ds for that huh?" He was so excited, and I told him he could probally buy a car with that and he said "like 50 million!" lol. I love how kids don't understand the concept of money. To cute.

"I'M Sorry"

On Saturday my Kobe wanted to go out a play basketball. I asked him to put his folded clothes away before he went outside. He took his clothes and I gave Ellie her stack and put away some of my stacks, and Kobe came back into the bedroom and said that he had put away his clothes in the drawer and the only clothes on his bed were the ones to be hug up. He then wanted me to play basketball with him, I went to his room on the way out to hang up his few shirts, and all his clothes were still on the bed. I asked him "why he had lied to me," and that "I needed his colthes put away." He got kind of mad at me , and then did it. I went to my room to finish with my stacks, and Kobe came in and said "sorry mommy for lying to you." Aww how sweet. It made my heart smile. As I thought about this later on, I thought how close to our Heavelny Father my lil man was. My mom had told me when he was born that the reason I got a son was a blessing and Heavenly Father wanted to give me a break. lol. Well Kobe sure is a blessing to us. I can't remember the girls ever saying sorry for something like that so willingly, without punishment.

CATCH UP

I have been very negligent on my posts. I have been busy and just lazy. Lets see.......the last time I posted Ellie and Kobe were starting soccer. Kobe turned into the little star of his team. He is the most aggressive one, so he always followed the ball and defended the goal, I lost track of how many goals he made, but I believe that we have found something that he really likes to do. Ellie wasn't quite as aggressive, yet she still had a good time. He team started out a little rough, they didn't win very many games, but at the end of the season they had a play off and they did well enough that they took 2nd place. whoot whoot! Ellie scored one goal, and I thought she was going to dance off of the filed lol. Sherise is still hanging in there. She had a concert for the end of the year, and I actually got to see her instead of being behind everyone else. We have decided that this particular class needs to be based on what is accomplished in class, and not how often you practice, because of this she got a "D" but she has improved quite a bit since the first of the year. Richards surgery went very very well. He was feeling good coming out of surgery and was able to move around quite soon after the surgery. Problem being, he thinks his other knee is now doing the same thing, ugh. Mothers day was very nice. We decided to go to breakfast with Richards Mom and his side of the family on Sunday morning. We have not been involved with this tradition in the past to the fact that they go on Sunday and we are trying to teach our children differently, but we thought that this may be the las year that they are in the area, trying to sale their home and move to St. George. Everyone was there even Brandon and Donelle. It was good to have everyone all together at one time.

Today Richard goes in for surgery on his knee. He has had 4 other surgeries, but I think I was with him on all the others. I really thought that this wouldn't bother me to be at work while he was in surgery, but I am bummed. I can leave work early so that is making it better. I know that I can't do anything, and thank goodness his mom is with him, but I really feel that I should be with him. We went las t night and he get a blessing. Richard said that he felt at peace after the blessing, and I am glad that we did that. Hope all is well with him.

Ellie's First Soccer Game!!!!!

So my Ells Bells had her first soccer game yesterday. She did such a good job. The team that she is on hasn't been able to practice before the first game, so it was a little rough to start out with, but as the game went on she got the hang of it. I really think that she liked it. Kobe and Ellie have a game tomorrow, and I am hoping to get some great pics. Can't wait for Kobe's first game and Ellie's next one.

Last night we watched this for the first time.....WOW! I didn't watch this at the theaters because well I'll admit that I thought it looked stupid, and I was not going to get caught up in all the hoopla about this show. Well.... I am. This was a decent flick. When it ended my husband said " it's over?" I really can't wait until the next movie comes out so that we can rent it, or maybe even go and see it at the theater, ahhh as if...

Fashion,Itchey,and Taste "bugs"

Yesterday Richard's son Cameron put on a fashion show to raise money for the "STAND" organization that he is the president of @ Weber State. The whole family went to it. He did an awesome job of pulling this together, this is the 2nd year that this has been done, and he is so good to invite us to this each year. Any way on the way to this fashion show, we had stopped @ Wendy's for dinner, you know on the run, so pick something up. Lil Ellie had nuggets and the drink on choice was Sprite/Lemonade mixed. After dinner and on the way up to the fashion show she was all "Mom I think one of my taste "bugs" is swollen." I had to laugh a little, and I thought that maybe she just made a mistake. So I asked "your taste "bugs?" and she said "Yes! my taste "bug" is swollen because it hurts to drink my drink. How cute was that? We get to the fashion show and wait for quite awhile, and the show was very nice, except for the beginning. We were on the front row (Parent Perk) and this on girl had her foot up on the chair, which was on the stage, which was directly in front on us, and her lil dress was so short I got quite a view of the back end. Yah had to remind Richard to put is eyes back into his head, and his response was "I only have eyes for one girl........(oh how sweet)...twix.....hahaha. After the fashion show a lady who teaches African dance @ WSU came out. She did 4 dances, which all were very high energy. As she was doing her 2nd dance, Ellie leaned over and said " Mom that would be so hard, she is dancing so much, what if she had to itch?"lol. So kids are such a joy and that lil Ellie has some good sayings. Mom loves you Ells

LIFE

Sherise got to come to work with me today. She loves to do that. It is not the first time she has gotten to do this. But this time there was a purpose, school job shadowing. She is so willing to help me out and thinks that everything is so cool. Kobe heard that she was coming with me and he told me that one day when he doesn't have to go to school, he would really like to come with me. It makes me feel so good that my kids like to spend time with me, or maybe it is that they just want to come to work with me to play on the computers.....hmmmm. My little Ellie just goes along in life. Sometimes she is just as happy to hang out at home with mom and dad and doesn't seem to care if she goes to play with kids or anything. She is so much more easy going than Sherise. The social seen is just not her bag.(thank you Father in Heaven). Richard was supposed to go and talk with the Stake President about his discipline, to take care of it, and stinking Lucifer totally snuk in and planted his seed. We got into a big fight, thus he didn't want to go. We know now and he wont win again!!!!!!

Very Lucky

Last Saturday I had this small bump behind my right ear. I thought it was maybe just a little pimple. Well by Wednesday I had a large bump and it was hard for me to turn my head. My doctor couldn't get me in until the Friday. Well I assumed it was like a boil or something that could just be drained and they would give me an antibiotic. I got to the doctor, and he asked it I had ever had cellulites. I didn't even know what that was so I told him no. He called another doctor in and he asked if I had any problem with swallowing, or if I had any nauseated or had a fever. Well earlier that morning I had been a little nauseated, and that night before I had had the chills. After the second doctor talked for awhile, they decided that I need to go see a specialist, and that I probably had Cellulites. They gave me a shot of antibiotics, and put me on a high dosage of antibiotics and away I went to the specialist. After talking to him I was both scared and greatful. I guess where this infection was could have been very dangerous, even life threatening. Well as of today I am feeling better and am greatful to my Heavenly Father for watching over me and making all of the things that could have gone wrong not happen.

Sherise Pics

So it has been about a month or maybe 2 since Heather took pictures of Sherise, but I just wanted to tell her thank you very much. Sherise and I are very happy with the result. Heather took the time to make her look really cute. We are hoping to submit these to someone for modeling purposes, get her name and Heathers out there.

Construction

This month we have an exchange student from Japan coming to visit. Well I have a cramped home upstairs and for about 3 months we have been trying to finish the basement bedroom so that Sherise could move down there and my two youngest wouldn't have to share a room. Well on Saturday my Mom and Dad came over to help push the completion. After a very long day we completed it enough to get her moved in!!!! We still need to mud, tape, and paint, but she has walls and a ceiling enough that she moved in. Ellie and Kobe got to have their own rooms, and when our student comes to visit, he can use Kobe's room for 2 weeks, without having to be cramped. I need to thank my Mom and Dad very much for all of their help!!! Love you

Such a Big Word for Such a lil guy

Last night we were having family prayer, Richard has had chronic headaches for about 3 months, Kobe is very worried about his dad. In his prayer last night he asked heavenly father "please let my daddy's headache subside." What? How did my 5 year old come up with such a big word? He is such a sweet lil boy. I am so blessed to have him in our family. So Kobe Mommy loves you very much and thank you for such a sweet prayer.

Twix

about a week ago we got a dog. We named her "Twix". She had a rough time getting use to us. She had gone to 3 different homes is 3 different days. Needless to say, she was a little stressed. When we first got her she would just growl at us and bark. Poor little girl. But some time has passed and she is know one of the family. This morning I thought that I would try to get some pictures of her to post. She was so funny I think she is camera shy. Twix just kind of tried to hide, so I had to be sneekey about the whole thing. These are in our bathroom by our toilet, she was trying to hide, so I just got on my belly and pretended that I wanted to play with her. I think she still knew what was going on. Well these are those wonderful pictures.

All new to me

So today Emily stopped by and gave me some pointers on this whole blog thing (thanks Emily) and I decided that it could be really easy to just want to blog all the time. I could really spend a lot of time just checking out all the stuff.

My Sherise

So Yesterday I get a phone call from Sherise's school." Hello this is Mrs. Long from T.H. Bell I have Sherise in my office and she has been involved in a fight." The first this I think is "Did she win?" Well I go to the school and get the scoop from Sherise. Well she was standing up to a girl who was talking trash on her. Well what do I do, I tell her that she should have beat the @*#$ out of her (oops motherly instinct kicked in). Dad said the same thing but that it would have served her right for talking crap on Sherise. She tells her Aunt & Uncle and they are like "Did you win?" Her aunt even said "Well I have Never been in any physical altercations LOL." All in all I am greatful that she is not hurt, well physically, and I just wanted Sherise to know that we all love her very much and that next time make sure she gets one good hit in, oh no did I just say that. No really there are better ways to solve the problem, but I know how hard it is when you find out that someone, especially someone that you thought was your friend, is saying mean thing about you and to you.
